Assistant Manager – Operation & Maintenance (Utilities)
Job Location: Packaging Plant – Konabari, Gazipur
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Being an active member of the Factory team, he/she should implement an effective operation and maintenance program in line with the technology direction for the Utility plant starting from Generation up to Distribution which includes Steam Boiler, Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant, Air Compressor, Industrial Refrigeration & Cooling, Electrical Substation, and Generator.
Develop, deploy and implement plans to ensure the best utilization of assets under the Utility plant as well as supervise and give guidance on the maintenance of such assets.
Ensure effective operation of all assets under the Utility plant to run efficiently with optimum output.
Organize, enable and support technicians, operators, maintenance personnel, and other teammates in achieving the goals of the unit.
Manage Engineering & Project Contractors in the implementation of Utility maintenance and project activities.
Lead and support the installation, erection, commissioning, and ramp-up of new plant machinery and equipment within the timeline adhering to company safety guidelines.
Ensure flawless and on-time delivery of CAPEX, Innovations, Savings, and Improvement projects by actively participating in early equipment management and improve machine reliability with proactive and preventive maintenance with inter and cross-departmental engagement.
Exercise skills and assist in diagnosing faults and overseeing time-critical repairs.
Ensure EHS & FSMS criteria are met during the end-to-end CAPEX project work supported by other functions.
Ensure that engineering solutions to Quality, Environment, Health and Safety issues are identified and implemented in all projects prior to commissioning and maintain the quality and safety of running assets.
Create and implement plans to continuously improve site infrastructure needs such as energy, water, steam, electricity, compressed air, and all utility services, contracts, and contractors.
Manage the projects and Maintenance, Improvement, Overhauling, and Repair Budgets.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
A combination of Operation/Maintenance Management & Project experience will be helpful for this role.
Experience on erection and commissioning of Utility Plants like Boiler, Chiller, Electricals, Compressor, Water Treatment Plant and ETP will be considered as an advantage.
Strong Interpersonal skill – ability to maneuver communication style based on stakeholder, surroundings and purpose.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Highly driven by purpose and sustainability agenda.
Influencing skill – ability to work with numerous stakeholders – both internally (Factory Leadership Teams) & externally (Engineering Contractors, Local Authorities and Government Bodies if required, Machine Manufacturers) and influence their decision-making.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
B.Sc in Engineering (Mechanical/EEE) from reputed Public/Private University with a minimum CGPA 3.00
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Factory Operations/relevant field.
